Why Lucid Dream? The ONLY reason to try this is because you personally want to. Obviously, if you can get more out of your life go for it right? It's not like you can say you don't have enough time. :) Lets look at the reason we can't remember our dreams. In our dreams we are the creator. Go ahead and take a second to deal with that idea. In waking life we are not the creator. If other mammals have a dream that their predators have disappeared or have been conquered, and retain this dream as a solid and memorable experience. They'll walk out of their hole carefree and boom, get eaten. Any genes that really remember dreams got eaten a long time ago. I think that if you are ready enough to be reading these words right now, you are ready to begin this experience. In my lucid dreams things are so so so real. So real. Every smell, touch, taste, you name it, it's real. The way people act in my dreams... they don't act like puppets, they do things that I never could have expected them to. They say things that I never would have thought of. It's astounding and truly awesome. How many problems great and small have been solved in dreams? Anyways, it's a very real world. And I remember those times where I felt a sense of connection, while in my dream, to the dreamer. I would look up in the infinite blue sky, and know that my dreaming self was out there, everywhere. I could run and jump, and fly to the farthest star, but I felt connected to the dreamer. The dreamer is me. Then a few months ago I was walking to my car and I got this strange feeling that the center of the sky above was up (naturally) and to the east. Odd sensation, I'm trying to put it into words, but, it was just a sense of bearing. I felt like if I drove 70 miles due east, and looked up, THEN I'd be looking at the center of the sky, and then it hit me "WAIT, I'm dreaming!" I glanced at the ground, then back at the building I came out of to see if it changed. It hadn't, and it didn't, and I couldn't make it. But I felt very distinctly The Dreamer. I just stood there in the cold. "I'm awake." But there it was, this sense of connectedness with The Dreamer. When you look at the things the ascended heros of our past have accomplished and said, you get a sense that they were all onto some similar channel. Perhaps they became lucid in THIS dream. Perhaps they began to look at their very nature as just a channel of the ultimate dreamer of our universe. When I start to routinely awaken in my dreams, I can't help but notice a growing appreciation of the waking world as a dream too. Like a fractal we are both the dreamer and the dreamed Get to know yourself! Happy Dreaming! |
